Christmas 2014

This Christmas sickness decided to hit me and the kids :(  We all got the flu the weekend before Christmas. It was awful! I still have a cold for the end of it, but its almost gone. Finally! We did not see Santa this year but we did drive around looking at lights. We also did not make gingerbread houses this year but we did decorate some cute little Christmas trees.

So focused

He is still wearing his Halloween costume lol

Finished!

Christmas Eve we had our regular family party. We have food and play games. We read about the birth of Jesus and the little kids act out the Nativity Scene. I love our traditions. The cousins open gifts from each other and all of us siblings do too.

You cant tell but I am way sick in this picture lol

Isaiah got a fun new elmo doll from one of his cousins, then he drove it around in Angalees stroller.
After the party I let the kids open there pj's Noah got Spiderman Elijah got Batman and Isaiah got cars pj's "they were all out of elmo" We put cookies out and milk for Santa

He came! :)

Christmas morning James and his youngest sister Danielle came over bright and early to open presents with the kids. I was up at 6:30 just waiting for them to get up and run out and nothing was happening. Finally at 8:00 I was like okay they need to get up lol

Looks like they were good enough this year for brand new bikes :)

After the present fun we all watch a Christmas movie and hung out for a while.

Aside from being sick it was a nice Christmas day.
Merry Christmas and have a great New Year!

Thanksgiving 2014

This Thanksgiving was a real eye opener for me. I have not fully taken in the separation of me and James yet because we do so much together with the kids and we are good friends but its been almost 2 years now and this is the second Holidays we have done apart. This year I had the kids for Thanksgiving and it was really nice to spend it with my whole family and the kids. It was however hard on me. I am really good at keeping things going for myself, I don't cry and I don't dwell. I just couldn't help it this year. We did a big family photo and I did not handle it very well. "lets just say it was very emotionally draining." I have not been faced with permanent things yet "like a family photo with my kids and with out James" These are the memories we will have now and It really breaks my heart not just for me but for the kids. I just hope the kids feel all the love from the both of us threw the Holidays and threw the hard time as a family.

On a less personal note. I took a few pictures of our Thanksgiving day.

They seriously don't hold still for pictures "at all!"
                                    See what I mean lol

I have to hold them still :)
                                              I love my goof balls!
All 18 of the grandkids. There are so many now! Ages 15 - 2 months

I Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving !
